Not one of the most colourful kinds of Wheatear, but a very nice picture of it anyway. By the look of it, the typical habitat is not the most colourful either. It looks quite dry to me. Regards, Leo

Yes Leo, Dry and stony habitat interspersed with scattered bushes. That's the area of exploration that we visited. The dry and almost unforested region is situated on the south-western slopes of the Lesser Caucasus. The semi-arid flanks of the mountains are characterised by steppe and semi-desert with poor ephameral vegetation and salt-tolerant bushes. Friendly greetings, Pavel
