Great picture, the light, the background, everything is perfect. I've been watching this site: http://www.webbkameror.se/djurkameror/storemosse/storemosse_2_640.php for a while now, there are several eagles that visit this feedingsite regularly, but I've also seen a gosshawk several times. I don't think it's uncommon for a wild Gosshawk to feed on dead animals, especially during the winter.

great picture! Goshawk is a common scavenger. This is why a lot of goshawks fall victim to people who try to elliminate birds of prey by putting out poisoned carcasses. I agree this is a male. The legs and toes are to thin for a female. According to the boldly marked primaries (with no grey margin on the outer rim of the inner flag), it is not a very old bird (in its third year?) Ton
