The moment before impact... The Kestrel didn't like the Rough-legged Buzzard sitting in it's territory, so it attacked it repeatedly. Scientific name: Buteo lagopus

A flock of 38 Parrot Crossbills were feeding on cones in low pine trees. The birds were very approachable. This bird is a young male. Scientific name: Loxia pytyopsittacus

A handful of Caspian terns have recently begun breeding in Denmark. Postbreeding they can be seen in lakes around Copenhagen. Here is an adult fishing. Scientific name: Hydroprogne caspia
