Met een tamron convertor heb je met de 400mm ook gewoon autofocus. Ik gebruik het icm de 40D.

bij genoeg licht en contrast is dat wel mogelijk .
zelf vind ik dat de autofocus heel langzaam gaat met de converter erop
ook hunterd die wel vaak ..... ... qua scherpte moet je ook wel inleveren .

de 70-300 met deze converter erop ..is de autofocus 2x zo snel Embarassed

Mede pixers: ik heb de lens 300/4.0 met IS en inmiddels de TC1.4 erbij, gewoonweg geweldig, en genoeg flexibiliteit. Niet zwaar, wel: snel, scherp, diepte. Mooi spul. Ik wacht verder ontwikkelingen bij Canon af, zou ooit wel een 500mm willen hebben, maar met lage Euro erg duur.

Voor de twijfelaars zoals ik ook even was: 300/4.0, gewoon doen.

heb maandag de 300mm f4 IS opgehaald.echt super lens!
heb ook libellen geprobeerd en wou ook goed.lekker flexibel.
