Not too long ago somebody offered one for sale on this forum but it was used professionally and therefore looked like garbage despite being optically 100%...... Any way, might this lens be offered for sale, the seller is sure to get a good price for it !!

A very good toy but very expensive also. In Holland the price is about 6.000,00 Euro.
The quality is superb as you can see on Birdpix too.

Maar... Een hoop geld! Geen IS.., geen AF in combi met 1.4 TC op 10 serie van Canon.
Wat moet je met zo'n lens (tenzij je hem zou krijgen). Is er iemand met ervaring met deze lens? Is deze werkelijk goed geschikt voor DSRL?
Niet dat ik deze wil kopen... gewoon interesse en misschien dat anderen er wat aan hebben. Lijkt mij dat met de komst van de Sigma 500 F4.5 (3400 euro bij Konijn) er weinig reden meer is om laatstgenoemde niet te verkiezen boven de Canon variant. Voor de canon lijkt me 3000 dan eigenlijk al te veel.

Check out Crown International in Woudenberg, the Netherland. They offer it at Euro 5399,- (at least, in September). Cheapest one in Holland.

You are talking about a different lens I think. Emil is looking for a EF500f4.5 not a EF500F4.
