Heb iets gelezen maar ben er niet helemaal zeker van
De nieuwe Canon EF 800mm f/5.6 L IS USM zou een Image Stibilisatie hebben van vier stops terwijl de huidige 300, 400, 500 , 600 mm of kortweg alle IS lenzen maar 3 stops hebben.

Wie weet hier meer over te vertellen.
Ik sta op punt om de overstap te zetten van Nikon naar Canon, dus wil ikhier iets meer over weten.

Klopt, 4 stops. Ook is de lens ongeveer net zo lang is als de 600mm, maar bijna een kilo lichter.

Ik sta op het punt een 400 of 500 IS te kopen maar zal Canon nu ook deze lenzen aanpassen met die 4 stops IS? Heeft hier iemand weet van, zo ja dan stel ik nog ff deze aankoop uit.

Denk het niet. Er zijn ook nog steeds lenzen op de markt met een ouder type IS: 2 stops, geen statiefdetectie, zoals de 100-400mm zoomlens.
