Sungei Buloh is a wetland reserve in the north-west corner of Singapore. The mudplates serve a rich pallette of food for waterbirds. In this area many trekking birds make a stop. Prominent birds are the painted stork and the little egret.

This photo I made on an evening from a bird watching hut. The distance to the bird was only about 7meter and I used 
my Nikkor 18-70mm to photograph it. Scientific name: Egretta garzetta
