These are tough birds to approach here in India. I was quite lucky with this group, which I stumbled upon.... they were so engrossed digging for termites that they did not bother my presence. It was only the cock partridge that was on alert for danger. Scientific name: Francolinus pondicerianus interpositus

These are very shy birds to approach, but I was lucky this time as this family was busy digging termites. The male is on the look out as the rest are feeding. Scientific name: Perdix perdix
