In Germany the "Stieglitz" - also named "Distelfink" was the bird of the year 2016 (NABU).
In my opinion "De Distelvink " is one of the most beautiful birds we have.

Lepelaar (Spoonbill, Löffler) #1

Among other birds, this summer I concentrated on making special pictures of the wonderful spoonbill in North-Holland.

Here Pic # 1.

The Eurasian Wryneck is a challenge and a dream for each bird photographer in Germany.

Last year I could make my first shots of that wonderful bird - using a camouflage tent and a wireless remote trigger. The original size of that image is 4608 x 3546Px.

This bird - properly speaking its camouflage - reminds me a little bit of the beautyful nightjar i saw for the first time in my life in the Netherlands 3 years ago.

Groet (Viele Grüße ;-)
