Hi everyone,

Can you share, please, your experience about Sigma 120-300/2,8?
I have ordered one to use with my Canon 30D and I am curious
what you have to say if you have ever used such a lens.
Thank you in advance.

I'm using one for nikon with 2x and 1,4 convertor. And i like it.
The lens handles a lot better despite the weight of it.

Did some testshots which u can download below.

Hi Ivoto,

We recently bought this lens after great results with the 300-800.
Together with a 1.4x, 1.7x and 2.0x convertor you will have an extraordinary set from 120 till 600 at 5.6.
You will find a load of info after entering Sigma 120-300 at Google and after reading a lot of it i can ensure you most of it is positive.

Good luck with it
Marco

With the 1,4x (sigma) still very quick but with the 2x(sigma) it gets noticably slower. But still acceptable.

Thank you all of you and especially for the sample photos. As far as the AF speed is concerned, it is not so important for me, as long as AF works at all with a 2x converter!

What I am concerned about is:
first, what is the sharpness of this glass
and second - are there any problems in compatibility with Canon?
