During a wildlife photo shoot in the Bavarian mountains in Germany, Olympus gave me an opportunity to try out the Olympus ED90-250mm F2.8 lens.
The ED 90-250 lens is awesome. The sharpness is nearly the same as the ED300 F2.8 prime lens I own and even with the 2.0 converter, there is no problem focusing. Not even with bad weather conditions and very poor light. The biggest plus was to find out that having the possibility to zoom in and out, means no waste of time, caused by having to change lenses and a faster reaction on fast moving objects. Though the lens is heavy (what do you expect of a F2.8 quality zoom) it feels comfortable in your hand. All the same a tripod is the best method to shoot your photographs from. Knowing the possibilities of the ED90-250 F2.8 lens, I will surely take it with me on my travels to faraway countries. Alexander Koenders |
